Christmas Concert 2017

posted Dec 6, 2017, 11:59 AM by Peter Horner

Christmas Concert 2017

This is a friendly reminder that all costume clothing should be sent to your child's classroom in a bag labelled with their name no later than Thursday, December 7th, 2017.

The following is a list of what each class will wear:

Kindergarten: Germany and the nativity

They will be dressed as animals or angels. Costumes will be provided for both. Mary and Joseph costumes will be provided too. We ask that the Angels come dressed in white shirts, tights, pants, karate pants or shorts, and white socks. Animals will be covered by their costumes, so we ask that they wear a t-shirt and shorts, any colour is fine.

Grade 1: Philippines

We ask that the girls wear party dresses or their Sunday best. We would like the boys to wear a barong (or a formal embroidered shirt) and black pants. The barong is the traditional mens/boys Filipino white embroidered shirt. We recognize that only our Filipino families will have this, and other families would need to see if they could borrow one from a student in another grade. If you can’t do this, a White dress shirt will suffice.

Grade 2: Africa

We ask that the students wear black t-shirts, and black shorts, pants or tights.

Grade 3: France

We ask that the students wear a plain white t-shirt and black pants. If your child doesn’t own a plain white t-shirt, you can purchase one at Michael’s for a very reasonable price.

Grade 4: Austria

We ask that the students wear their white school shirt, black or brown dress shorts, and white knee high socks. If you are having trouble finding black or brown dress shorts, wearing our school summer uniform is fine. The boys are to wear their navy shorts and the girls are to wear their summer skirts.

Grade 5: Mexico

We ask that the students wear a plain white t-shirt and black pants. If your child doesn’t own a plain white t-shirt, you can purchase one at Michael’s for a very reasonable price.

Grade 6: Ireland

We ask that the students wear black pants. A green t-shirt will be provided.

Grade 7: Canada First Nations

We ask that the students wear anything red or white, Canadian Olympic Gear, hockey jerseys, winter clothing, toques, mittens, etc.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher.

Thank you,
The Christmas Concert Committee
