Track and Field Season 2025

TRACK PRACTICES  - will be held at Mahon Park/ Fen Burdett Stadium on Jones Ave in North Vancouver.  

 • All practices will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays after school. Some weeks we will have practices on all three days, some we will have them on two days only if there is a scheduling conflict. Please refer to this web page for updates.   

• Parents are expected to pick up their athlete at Mahon Park at 4:05 p.m.  • If the weather is bad, track practices will be cancelled by 2:30 - check website and email. Practices will go ahead in drizzly weather, but if the forecast is for very heavy rain, practice may be cancelled.  

FIELD PRACTICES – Long Jump, Discus and Shot Put, are held on the school field. High Jump in the gym 

• Please check the school website for the field practice schedule on Friday each week - in case there are any changes.  When field practices are after school parents are to pick up field athletes at 4:00 p.m.  

Discus -             Monday - Friday @ 8:00 am on the field. Students are asked to attend at least 3 per week. Rain or Shine

Shot Put -        Wednesday and Friday @ 8:15 am on the field.  

Long Jump -    Wednesday and Friday after school from 3:05 - 4:00. On the field at the long jump area.

High Jump -    Monday @ 8:00 am, Wednesday @ 12:00 am, Friday @ 8:00 - in the GYM 

Track Meets

• Monday May 5 -  St. Helen's Meet @ Terry Fox Field at SFU  9:00 am- 3:00 ( All Track and Field Athletes)

• Wednesday, May 28    CISVA Meet @ Swangard Stadium, Burnaby 8:00 – 4:00 p.m.  

• Wednesday, June 4         CISVA Meet @ Swangard Stadium, Burnaby 8:00 – 4:00 p.m. 

Age Categories

• Grade 3 - Pee Wee

• Grade 4 - Midget

• Grade 5 - Juvenile

• Grade 6 - Junior

• Grade 7 - Senior
